Botanical Gardens

Cactus Garden was just a tiny area within the Botanic Gardens, displaying a few different cactus plants.
View looking up the Rose ramp to The Shelter.

Rose Gardens

The rose gardens were constructed in 1933 and were the first public relief project in Tarrant County.

Flowering was pretty much over on my first visit to the gardens so it was not that spectacular but I'm sure when all the varieties are in bloom, it would be gorgeous.
This beautiful shaded walkway leads to the Texas Rose Garden and Miniature Rose Garden.

The Perennial Garden

This blur in the middle of these perennials was I think a hummingbird. The movement was just too quick to capture clearly.
A bee and a butterfly share a flower together.
There are more than 2,500 native and exotic species of plants all in natural settings.

Happy birthday!! Another year gone but it looks as if you do keep excellent records of how each of them went.

Now that we've moved to the Dallas area, we'll be stopping by Ft. Worth--we're anxious to see this "Cow Town". Thanks for the tips...are you still in the area?
