the great Buddha
The statue of the great Buddha is 13,5 meters high. It is a bronze made in 1252. |
Zeni arai benten
This holy place is in the mountains around Kamakura. It was not easy to find but this kind gentlemen showed us the way and told us about the habits in this holy place. |
A dark grotto is filled with colourfull paper cranes. |
washing your money
There is water from a spring. According to the legend money that is washed in this water will double. Maybe i washed to little or i spent to much the next days, but i didnīt notice any difference. |
The very friendly gentlemen also showed us how to buy a fortunescroll and he read the text for us. |
It was a good one so we tied it to the post instead of taking it home as a souvenir. |
