Sagrada Familia

by tompt - last update: Nov 30, 2004

work of a century

The work on the Sagrada Familia began in 1883 and Gaudi worked on it until he died in 1926. The work is still carried on based on old plans. It is estimated that work will be finished now around 2022. A few years ago it was excepted it would never be finished, but lately huge donations came in and money is no subject now.

More info on the official homepage: http://www.sagradafamilia.org/eng/principal.htm

The first four pictures are taken back in the 1990's

You can climb one of the towers it is a lot of steps but you will get a beautifull picture opportunity.

From here you can see how much the work progressed in may 2002.

The next travelogue will show the works in november 2004.
