When you arrive after a long flight from Europe you have to stay one night in a hotel before you can collect your motorhome. They are afraid, that you jump in the car with red eyes after a long long day ( about 12 hours) without sleep. We stayed two days to have a glimpse of San Francisco.

As we started with only one day in San Francisco, before getting the RV, I can give only a sort of impression of this town. I had immediatedly the idea of coming back later and for a longer stay. San Francisco is beautiful, a town to walk in, take the cablecar, walk again. Walk on Embarcadero along the sea, go to pier 39, very touristic, I know, but so pleasant with people of all nations, enjoying their holiday. See Alcatraz and smell the sealions.

And then back to the hotel with cablecar and B.A.R.T.
