Paris always leaves you with a whirlwind of images rushing through your head...these are a few I like to remember....

Opened in 1912, Abbesses metro stop is one of the deepest stations, at about 30 meters. The entrance, designed by Hector Guimard, was originally used for the station at Hôtel de Ville but was transferred to Abbesses in 1970. |
De Gaulle's statue is located outside the entrance to the Champs Elysées Clemenceau metro. A copy of this statue is in downtown Warsaw, where de Gaulle served as a military adviser after World War I. |
The famed Montmartre stairs provide an excellent workout. I prefer the funiculaire because I am incredibly lazy. |
Fontaine de Medicis
This fountain was built around 1624 for Marie de Medici...the figures were added more than 200 years later. |
Musee du Louvre
The Pyramid entrance was designed by I.M. Pei, and opened in 1989. |
Tour Montparnasse
Allegedly Europe's second-tallest tower block.... |
Statue of Liberty
This lady faces west...toward her American counterpart.... |
