Cimetière du Montparnasse The favorite themes are people crying, dead people laying down, spirits coming out from their tombs, animals... |
I'd be thankful if someone could explain why people leave subway tickets on J.P.Sartre-Simone de Beauvoir's tomb. |
This is the tomb of the man who sculpted the Statue of Liberty, Auguste Bartholdi. |
The most unusual tombs: a bird figure, in many pieces of broken mirror. |
A psychodelic cat, that has to be my favorite tomb... |
And now the Père-Lachaise This is the tomb of Victor Noir, a 19th century journalist depicted lying on the floor after being shot and killed. Legend has it that the women who kiss him will get married, and in fact my companion dragged me here just to do that... |

aterceironeto Thu Jul 10, 2008 03:32 UTC The worst hotel. It isn'tas shown on photos and video. Cubicle, smelly rooms, rude staff. Front desk was not allowed to call a shuttle to airport because they only sell Air France bus. Stay in somewhere else to avoid wasting your money | Ipanema_Princess Mon Jun 27, 2005 22:39 UTC Really nice page on Paris. So many things I still have to see in my own city ! I love the galleries too. Parabens ! | knightrider2 Thu May 19, 2005 04:25 UTC You have some great restaurant tips. They will come in handy for my upcoming Paris trip. | morgane1692 Tue Jan 18, 2005 13:56 UTC Aaaaah, grey skies in Paris beat sunny skies anywhere else, don't they?! We need to revisit this city. One of these eons...;-) |
