The Royal Wedding

by Gypsy_Saskia - last update: Apr 4, 2002

The kiss

After the ceremonies in the Beurs van Berlage and the Nieuwe Kerk, the couple took a tour in the 'golden carriage', the so called balcony scene in the Royal Palace started. With...THE KISS.

The happy couple

Shortly after the wedding, the two left to go skiing in Switzerland (staying in the late Mr Heinekenīs mansion). Their honeymoon was kept quite secret, but it is known they were in Huka Lodge in New Zealand for a while.

The mayor

After the ceremony in the Beurs van Berlage, major Cohen hands over a booklet to the couple.

The dress

Designed by Valentino, what a beautiful dress!

The Church

The church ceremony in the Nieuwe Kerk (Dam Square).

Cinderella?

The royal couple in the carriage.
