La Tour Eiffel Yes la Tour Eiffel! From almost every point the tower keeps being visible. Here I get off the subway station to the famous tower. I visited Paris on this picture in the middle of the winter (22-28 december) so it was very cold! Brrr! When I visited Paris in march and may it was much warmer there :o) |
To overview pictures of Main Street in Euro Disney Paris ;o) |
In Fantasyland is something called 'It's a small world'. Alle different kinds of puppets -who represent all the people of the world- sing the song 'It's a small world after all' in their own langauge and dance or move on typical national monuments or tradtional goods. Here you can see to Dutch looking puppets with wooden shoes on tulips. Behind them is a windmill (I hope you don't think Dutch are like this -lol). It was a nice ride, but after this one you can't get that darn song out of your head. |
Some more puppets of 'It's a small world' and me looking stupid, when I discovered my picture was taken while reading a map. |
Fantasyl;and is the prettiest part of Euro Disney with some dreamy fairy tail attractions, but adventure land is where the biggest fun starts. The best attraction here is definitely 'Pirates of the Caribean'. |
Eating out at Fantasy land. The best restaurants, snackbars and take aways of Euro Disney are here and in Main Street. Everything you like is here, you name it: pizzas, fries, burgers, hot dogs, cola, shakes, pancakes I can go on and on. I get hungry already! |
When you are lucky the parc stays open late and you will be able to enjoy the lights and the electrical parade in Main Street. It's a Must See! |
Guess who had his birthday back then in 1997? |
Inside the castle of Sleeping Beauty deep down in the dugeons is a monster dragon! Watch the sharp teeth and smoke coming out of his nose. Watch out or you will end up like a burger here! |
Wanna know a typical Dutch thing that is a bit shameful? Well, I will tell ya about it. It's looking looking and trying and not buying. My friend Blaga and I just went into this Disney Store and put up all hats and made pictures and we bought nothing. It was just for the fun of it! |
Pinoccio had a nice tour for us in Fantasy land. We saw the whole story and also got to see some more fantasy thingies. Nice! |
Uh oh waz that? It's the 'It's a small world' attraction again. Run or the song 'It's a small world after all' will stay in your head all day ;o) |
The next best thing after 'Pirates of the Caribean' is 'The hounted house'. It's really unbelievable what you will get to see there! There are always long lines of waiting people here. The best time to see it all is when there is some parade going on. Then you can even do this attraction twice. |
Nearby the hounted house is the cowboy part of Disney Town. Here you can ride through the rocks on a wild train and try the steamboat. |
Is this the Rocky Mountain look? |
The haunted house again. Scary isn't it? |
Taking some rest in Adventure land. |
Some pics of 'Pirats of the Carabean'. It's so cool, just must try it! |
The old pirat captain seems still to be watching all his robbed money from his bed. |
Future land has the least to offer. The only nice things here: musical show, 3d movies, driving cars here, space mountain (roller coaster) and snackbar ;o) yum yum. It's best to visit this party of Euro Dinsey in your last time before leaving (two hours or so). |
Euro Disney When you get the chance visit Euro Disney! The best time to visit: march-may. The worst time: Christmas, New Year, july-augustus, too many people!! I loved Euro Disney. As a spoiled little brat I went there three times ;o) I loved almost every attraction there. On the picture you can see the entrance of Euro Disney. |
Versailles Just outside Paris is a large castle. Napoleon used to live here. The castle complex is named 'Versailles'. You can take a look around and admire all the buildings that belong to it and also enjoy the beautiful gardens, woods and canals surrounding it. For a look inside the castle you will have to pay lots(guess that is why I didn't saw it from the inside). |
It's a long walk to the entrance ;o) |
The front of the Versailles castle complex. |
Statue of the former owner... |
The beautiful ponds, long canals and woods seen from the gardens of Versailles. |
Fontainebleau Also very close to Paris is Fontainebleau. This small nice town has also a castle complex. It was of Louis XIV, the Sun King. It also was in the hands of Napoleon and other famous French rulers. |
Ah yes and here it is...the castle of Fontainebleau! |
In may there were a big flowerparade and flowerstatues in Euro Disney. |
This overview gives you a better idea of how big it all really was. |
Ofcourse I did like the horses the best of it all ;o) |
The castle of Fontainebleau is also beautiful from the inside. |
Isn't this the prettiest vase ever? |
I think this painting will be typically liked by guys ;o) lol |
More Paris! I have found some more Paris Pictures. So here they are ;o) These first four together are all of the Eiffel Tower. Two times the whole tower and twice the tower from beneath. It's really exciting to sit under it and then look up ;o) It makes ya a bit dizzy. |
Hey watch out for me and my camera in the parc next to the Eiffel Tower! |
Since walking here will make you very tired and lost, I advise ya to buy a subwaymap and some tickets. Travelling by subway is easy and very fast! On the picture: my brother at age 12 at 'Les Halles'. |
My mother, father and brother at the St Eustache church near les Halles. |
As a real horse fan I had to be on this carousel! |
L'Arc de Triomphe. This Gate of Victory stands on a large crossing and is surrounded by lots of traffic. The only way to come here is by taking the tunnel. |
Under the L'Arc de Triomphe is a grave. It's the grave of the famous 'Unkown soldier' (also a song by the Doors). |
Another nice monument: the Louvre Museum. Here you can find the Mona Lisa, it's actually a very small dark painting! |
On the inside square of the Louvre are the Pyramids, small pyramids made of glass. I usually don't like modern art, but I thought this was very pretty. On the picture below you can see me at age 17 standing by the river Seine. |
Another kind of museum with real modern art: Centre Pompidou. |
Next to Centre Pompidou is the artistic pond. If you are in for a snack: Mc Donalds, Burger King and the French snack king Quick are nearby! |
Other kind of art you will be able to find at Montmartre, the place of the old painters and sculpture makers. |
As you already could see at must see tips close to Montmartre is The Holy Heart Church 'Sacre Coeur'. It's very nice climbing all the stairs and enjoying all the beautiful statues and the view. Here you can see a water spuwer (statue that's spitting water). |
The view on Paris seen from the Sacre Coeur. |
Getting lost is very easy in the hedges of Alice in Wonderland! You can find this place in Fatasyland... |
This scary guy didn't scare me and my good friend Blaga. He tried to haunt us at the haunted house. You can find the haunted house (you must see it, it's so wonderful!)near the cowboys and indians place. Enjoy! You can get to Eurodisney by taking the subway in the direction of Marne la Vallee. Near the place you must switch to a kind of train witch takes you in the very heart of Euro Disney. The entrance fee was 200 francs (25 dollars) when I went there last time (2,5 years ago). |
More Disney! I dug up some old pictures of my visit to Eurodisney. I in total went there three times. One time with my parents and brother (that was in 1995, june), one time with my good friend Blaga (in may 1997) and one time with my ex-boyfriend Barry (at Christmas time 1998). |
On the picture: parkingticket, entree ticket and the entrance of the parc itself. |
