Paris Chinatown

by GUYON - last update: Dec 22, 2002

The biggest Asian supermarket in Paris (48 rue d'Ivry - metro : Tolbiac).
Tang's

A piece of Asia in Paris

They were Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodgian. All of them are now Parisians.

The blooming trees

In this area, you will find : Asian food, Chinese restaurants, art and china, silk clothes. All at reasonable prices.
Chinatown
Avenue d'Ivry

Chinatown main street

The avenue d'Ivry is one of the main streets of the Asian district of Paris.

The Asian area

13% of the inhabitants of the 13° arrondissement are Asian.
Chinatown
Les Olympiades

Mall les Olympiades

This mall is completly Asian : restaurants, hair dresser, video shops, grocery, jewelleries, restaurants, even the travel agency.

A couple of decades ago, the district was remodeled and high and big buildings were erected. The French population was reluctant to live there. But the Asian people of Paris (Vietmanese, Laosian, Thai, Chinese, etc...) were interested.

Now it is really a part of Asia installed at this place.

A way to travel for us.

One inhabitant more

In an Asian district, be Asian.
Deguised Chinese
