Walking Tour of Saigon

by 34N118W - last update: May 29, 2001

This was the old Presidential Building for South Vietnam. When the building was overtaken by VC forces it was symbolically the end of the war, and so it's now called Reunification Palace.
Notre Dame Cathedral
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Building.
Another historical hotel is the Rex Hotel, which was an R&R spot for American GI's during the war.
The historical Continental Hotel has been around since French occupation. I'm sure its face has changed considerably over the years, but its spirit remains.
