Visited Los Angeles, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Puntarenas in Costa Rica, Cartagena, Colombia, Aruba, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas and Ft. Lauderdale.
The Sirens in the Atrium.
The bedroom section of our cabin on HAL's Statendam. Holland America is our favorite line.
The living room section of our cabin. It is very comfortable with more than adequate drawers and closet space.
A very important part of cruising- the lifeboat drill. On Holland America ships they take attendance.
Another view of the library on board.
Here I am seated at a table outside on Lido Deck. You will notice that the sliding roof is closed.
Here I am standing next to the dolphin sculpture at the pool on Lido Deck.
Statue of Juno in the Lido Café.
Statue of Mercury in the Lido Café.
The Van Gogh Lounge-- the Statendam's showroom. There is a Murano glass mosaic of Van Gogh's "Starry Night."
This is our favorite location for pre-dinner cocktails and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres.
This is our favorite room on the ship-- the Explorers Lounge. Here, our favorite social hostess, Denize Sobit, gives a lecture on etiquette. At night this lounge offers free espresso, capuchino, café mocha, etc. and a magnificent buffet of CHOCOLATE. All of this is accompanied by a string quartet.
