Darkness Falls

by azrael99 - last update: Nov 25, 2001

Echos of Night

This is the passage underneath the Reijksmuseum and it was here I heard something quite amazing. On Saturday 7th July, quite late about 23:00 or after (incase you were there, well you never know) two people, both very drunk by the way, were attempting to sing and play a guitar - very badly. However, the result was something I did not expect as it sounded wonderful. The words were incoherant and yet the way they echoed through the place was amazing to hear.

Standing on the Outside

The illuminated Rijksmuseum.

Walk on by....

The West Kirk taken at night.

Walk on through.....

Standing still letting the world rush by.

The Canals

Looking over the flower market on the canal at sunset. The more I look at this picture the more unreal it looks - the buildings in the distance look like models.

Dark Canals

Watching the sunset from a canal boat.

Reflections

Reflections of the lights along the canal.

You say hello.

Two girlies saying hello to everyone who can see this picture - make sure you say a big hello back :-)

This is Montelbaanstoren, at the end of Oude Waal, where we stayed in a wee basement apartment-Blue Orange- couldn't be a better place to see the city from! And it's quite a city-it has a buzz, but its relaxing!

I would love to see that Van Gogh museum--he's my favorite artist! Nice train station, too!
