AUSTRALASIA/ SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE | 12 Apostles-Great Ocean Road, Melbourne, Australia |
Destination #1: If you've never visited this part of the globe before, you must make it your goal to head here & check out the lovely countries (& islands) located in the Southern Hemisphere.
Have you ever seen travel postcards & brochures with secluded isles surrounded with endless waters of vivid turquoise blue - so clear that you can see the white powder sand beneath it? And it's no camera trick or a painter's imagination either. In fact such breathtaking sights & more awaits you Down Under.
Please take a look at my continent page on AUSTRALIA-OCEANIA and then, my respective Australian cities/ pages to see what I mean.

| | U.S.A./ NORTH AMERICA Destination #2: The world's most beautiful national parks can be found right here in this part of the world. The USA - beginning with Yosemite National Park in California. There are so many awesome National Parks in the USA that I've still a long way more to go. My wish is to cover as many NPs & theme parks as I possibly can - time, $$$ & schedule permitting.
Please surf straight to my continent page on NORTH AMERICA and thereafter, to the individual travel pages that I've done on some American cities/towns. I hope you'll be able to see where I've planted my humble Singapore flag so far. :-) |
EUROPE Destination #3: The title of the Most Beautiful Continent on this Earth - oozing with culture & old world charm must surely belong to EUROPE. No other continents on this Earth can even be compared to the extreme popularity of Europe as a travel destination. I'm sure even for its residents, the cultural density & diversity of this continent offers virtually limitless travel opportunities for exploration & discovery. In the last decade, the entire European continent has gone thru' a period of enormous & unprecedented change. The unification of Germany with the fall of the Berlin Wall. The end of the USSR etc are just a handful of memorable events that has occured in the last couple of years.
If you'd like to know more, please check out my continent page on beautiful EUROPE. | | | France's largest chateau, CHAMBORD, Loire Valley |

| | ASIA Destination #4: Let's whisk over to the exotic Orient now: ASIA. Asia represents almost one-third of the Earth's land mass. Its boasts the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest. It also houses both the largest & deepest lakes on Earth - the Caspian Sea & Lake Baikal. Out of the 12 longest rivers on Earth, 7 wind through Asia! No mean feat, huh? And most of the world's major religions just so happen to originate from Asia(!) + 2 out of every 3 people on Earth live there.
The countries found here are so diverse that on the surface they've little in common. Just like some of us members here on VT. If anything, their commonality lies in diversity itself. Just like VT. Are you seeing the uniqueness now?
And this is where I currently live - right here in the tropics - called SINGAPORE. This is also where I was born. For an indepth look, please browse thru' my ASIA continent and other individual Asian cities/ pages. |
AFRICA Destination #5: Welcome to the 2nd largest continent on Earth. AFRICA contains more countries than any other. Empires rose & fell in Africa thousands of years before the European powers even began their protracted exploitation of this continent.
Come & explore AFRICA with us as we tackle the traditional African safari destinations. Ah, but these game parks and wildlife reserves are only just the beginning of a mighty African adventure. Adventure in my language. Adventure thru' my eyes. Adventure - the way my friends & I travel.
We don't travel the roughing it out way. We're no participants from the hit TV series "Survivor". We're just your everyday traveler(s) who much prefer to see this continent in comfort, smack with little traces of style here and there. That does not mean we don't bungee jump or go whitewater rafting. It just means that we'd much rather choose to stay at the Palace of the Lost City Hotel rather than in a hostel or campsite.
Come along with me on this exciting virtual African adventure - by clicking onto this link & it'd zoom you straight to my AFRICA continent page. With travelers like us - it won't be called the Dark Continent for long! :-) | | | Table Mountains, Cape Town, South Africa |

| | PLANNING TO GO.... Next on my travel agenda?
Don't know yet.... Depending where we feel like going....
Photos to be uploaded when I find the time...
In the meantime, stay cool & be good..... |
