New Land Polder Museum in Lelystad
The New Land Polder Museum in Lelystad in the province of Flevoland.
One of Flevoland's main attractions is this museum which shows the history of the area attractively with interactive facilities. It tells not only of the reclamation and shaping of the land but also of the period when it was still the Zuiderzee, and marshland before then.
You can also see the earliest skeleton found in Western Europe. About 6.000 years old, unearthed when reclaiming Swifterbant.
