Hawaiian Parasail

by FreeCloud - last update: Jan 17, 2002

This is Hawaiian Parasail's brochure. Book your parasail from the concierge at your hotel lobby, these guys will come over to pick you up and drive to the pier where their boats port. Usually, they would gather about at least 2 couples before taking off to the sea.

Prepare Parachute - 1

All Harnessed - Wait to be hooked up

Flying into the sky!

When the boat speeds up, you fly high up 600 feet into the sky. Then they slow down the boat, you fall ever slowly, then they speed up the boat again to pull you up.

Floating in the sky, to the exact, with a great view of the Oahu Island is a wonderful feeling.

Life Line

The boat is 600 feet below, I am in the sky. All my life depends on this hook attached to the harness on me: my life line.

I have a camera with me, taking photos of everything I saw high up there. One would need a really wide angle to photo what one sees high above there.

Scared? Yes, but very very exciting! A little bit: one could worry about if one's harness unhooked from the parachute then probably a free fall into the ocean. I was told that hardly hardly any accident ever occured.

Fly into the rainbow!

Just feels wonderful, how small we are, as an individual person, how grand the sky, the space is. How nice to have the 3rd dimension one like me misses when on earth.

This is also the largest rainbow that I have ever seen.

Double Rainbows

When people saw a huge rainbow from the boat below, I actually saw a giant CIRCLE of rainbow: the rainbow and its reflection on the surface of water! Too bad it was so huge that I could only take part 1/4 of it.

Even this was not too bad when the rainbow turned to be a double.

Landing

You can choose dry or wet landing. The former land you straightly onto the boat, the other, into the water.

One does not even need to know how to swim to enjoy parasailing.
