Boracay for Beginners

by imho - last update: Sep 3, 2002

Bumming Around on the Beach

There's no place quite like Boracay island...seven kilometers of powder white, sugar fine sand; crystal clear waters; and one heck of a night scene! Although the tiny island has become increasingly commercialized throughout the years, one can still get a few private moments of contemplation...and, if things get a little boring, plunge into the party scene!

Grotto on the Rock

It may be a strange place for a religious shrine...but it's a lovely sight. It's not uncommon to see couples dining al fresco by the rock in the evenings...candle light (or torch light, when it gets windy) and all. The perfect setting for a marriage proposal.

Get A Load of That Sunset!

The Quiet Side

Despite the droves of tourists and beachgoers who flock to the island, there still remains a part of Boracay left untouched by commercial hype.

Hello. My wife is from Philippines. We just got back from Manila. That place looks like a nice getaway. I really like the adventureous sound to this spot. I hope its cold there.
