ENTRANCE TO MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDENS. You enter through these doors,go upstairs and exit through the rear to the gardens. |
CLIMATRON CONSERVATORY HOUSES A LIVING TROPICAL RAIN FOREST. It is amazing how much they can put in this structure. there are tall trees ,trails ,waterfalls, bridges, and some of the most beautiful foliage I have ever seen. |
TREE IN TROPICAL RAIN FOREST.It was impossible for me to get a picture to show how manificent this conservatory is. |
LAKE AND TORTOISE ISLAND. There is another island called Crane Island. Both islands are planted with beautiful flora. |
AT THE LAKE YOU CAN FEED THE CARP. THERE IS EVEN A FISH FOOD VENDING MACHINE. The fish would come to the surface and beg for food like a baby bird. |
REFLECTION POOL. At the other end are sculpures atop the pillars in the water. |
THE CHILDREN'S GARDEN. We just passed by here on our way out.We will have to check this out next time. |
SPECIAL PROGRAM GOING ON DURING OUR VISIT |
SECOND FLOOR LOOKING TOWARD THE FRONT |
ONE OF THE ROSE GARDENS. This was one of my favorite parts of the gardens. After seeing these roses I decided I needed to work a little harder on mine |
ROWS AND ROWS OF ROSES. ALL TYPES AND SIZES AND COLORS. The next time I will take a notebook and pen and take notes. These were beautiful. |
GATEWAY TO CHINESE GARDEN.There was a sign in Chinese that we could not read but we figured it said "stay on sidewalk". |
FALLS AT CHINESE GARDENS. The picture does not do this scenery justice. |
MOM ON ORNAMENTAL BRIDGE. " Smile Mom, your going global!!" bridge over a small stream looked neat. |
