I live in De Hasseler Es. formerly known as the village of Hasselo.

Leaving home; yes it's garbage collecting today.

Shopping Center Hasselo

Hoeseldorp

The local shopping Center (with pizza/shoarma restaurant Venezia, supermarkets C1000, AH & Aldi and a handful of other shops).

The Shopping Center is extended and the community buildings will be demolished and replaces by a new brick building.

The "Hoeseldorp" playgarden was the first to go down.

Well, that's Hengelo: build, build, build.

Kulturhus

What a change with the previous picture.
The new Kulturhus is a big step forward.
The new building replaces the old temporary library, community center and children daytime center.

The barbershop and the local post office.

The Fountain

Fountain

The fountain was a gift from the Dutch Airforce. Years ago a F-16 fighter crashed in De Hasseler Es suburb (luckely no casualties) and this is what we got in return.

And here is De Patatboer where you can buy the typical Dutch snacks like Patat met, Kroket, Slaatje, Fricandel and much more. Next to the snackbar you will find the Cinese restaurant Indrapoura.

Grand Oriëntal - we have a restaurant in our town that sounds very similar. The All-You-Can-Eat Chinese food. Nummy, but way too full tummy.
