Taxi Ride from the Airport In March 2002 I took my first trip to Costa Rica. I took the red-eye United flight from LAX to SJO. I arrived in the morning and traffic was so heavy during the morning rush hour that in San Jose the runner in the picture was moving faster than my taxi! |
Barrio Mexico I was surprised when this bus in front of our Taxi had a sign for Barrio Mexico, one of the neighborhoods in San Jose. |

Trip to Arenal/La Fortuna From San Jose I booked a trip to Arenal/La Fortuna on a shared tour group that was heading there....so first they took me to look at furniture in Sarchi. |
Beautiful Church & Gardens The next stop was in another town (whose name I don't recall) to look at the Church and the well-tended gardens of the plaza. |
