A photographic description....... Walking along the pathway around Cremorne Point towards Mosman Bay, you will come to gardens developed years ago by residents Lex and Ruby Graham, meticulously maintained now by local residents. There are many little pathways leading down towards the waters edge to explore. An absolute plethora of varieties of plants and totally enchanting. |
| Path around Cremorne Point |
| | Houses and apartments along Cremorne Reserve The pathway is well maintained - and a favorite with local runners and dog walkers. Everybody is friendly and greets you as you walk along.
There are many lovely houses and apartments perched on the hillside amongst rambling gardens. The housing here is mainly of a grander, older nature - dating mostly from the early 20th century, the "Federation" style of architecture. |
Robertson's Point The path out to Robertson's point passes through a grassy reserve with lots of trees, a modern children's playground, seats, picnic tables and toilets. There is a little lighthouse at the point which shines as a green beacon at night.
| MacCallum harbourside pool |
| | Harbourside Swimming pool Walking along the pathway towards Shell cove, there is a wonderful harbourside swimming pool, called MacCallum pool, which is filtered sea water and regularly maintained. |
A sunset view Another magnificent day......the path towards Shell cove is different to the path taken towards Mosman.
The lack of bushland on this side, opens up fantastic harbour vistas for walkers along the path, and it's easy to get down to the water's edge to perch on a boulder or sprawl on the grass to relax and take it all in.
On this side of Cremorne Point, you can still see the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
