Zion

It's funny to think back now, but I was furious at the time and refused to turn back (why drive back in over 100 degree heat and find out I missed a big huge sign while looking at the scenery), I was driving on the Zions inside loop road trying to spot the sign to Zion Narrow after the ranger at south entrance sold me the National Park Pass and motioned me to drive to the right and look for the sign for parking to Zion Narrow and other sights, the only sign and also the last sign I saw was something like - Thank you for visiting Zion National Park!!!

Since I finished the whole park with a short drive, no pics to show for any famous sight in Zion National Park.

Arches is the most fascinating N.P., no pics no words are powerful enough to show you the grandeur, shape, sheen and color of the rocks, and the humble and miraculous feeling you get.

My husband after viewing so many rock themed national parks, he wants to skip Canyonland and Arches, saying he has seen too many rocks, "No more rocks" he proclaimed, we did skip the entrance to Canyonland but since Arches is basically next to highway 191 a couple miles out of Moab where we stayed for the night, we decided to take a quick drive snap some pics, and then we're awe-strucked to find Arches is such a special park totally under rated by all means, so after Arches we turned back to Canyonland just make sure we did not miss a park as awesome as Arches.

For me I like Arches better than Zion, Bryce Canyon, Natural Bridges and Mesa Verdes. But go visit any one of these parks before the elements take them to the ground.

If you take the rainbow arch trail, at the foot of the arch, the view of the park all around you and the nice breeze is quite soothing on a hot sunny day.

It rained while we are resting in the middle of the hole of the rainbow arch, we are amazed with all the cracks, wind, rain and sun, it's still holding up, but look down you can see a lot of fallen rocks big and small, that's when we decide it's time to leave.

There are numerous peculiar rock formations other than the pictured - Balanced Rock (THE famous one, but you can easily spot many smaller balanced rocks all over the park), I only wish I can balance like those rocks in Yoga.
