Sometimes it is also the opposite of what you write too!!! Mumbai from Space and now Space from Mumbai!!! It's me showing heavenly objects from Space to a group of enthusiastic youngsters from a suburb called Nerul, just on the outskirts of Mumbai!!! I use my telescope not just to look at the stars but also to show the stars to anyone interested in the subject (whenever I am free to do so!!!). So if you are interested in seeing the stars then you know what to do and whom to contact!!! HAHAHA!!! I try my best to make it a good night out for the interested budding astronomers!!! Do you want to be one?!!!

These pictures are taken from space by imaging satellites and show a lot of minute detail even from high above in space!! This one is of the place where I live!! The white patches are clouds!! I stay very close to the sea just next to the beach (just below the square you see on the left which is Shivaji Park - a huge cricket ground where legends like Sachin Tendulkar have started their cricketing careers!!) The Mayor's Bungalow is just opposite the park!!

This view shows the place where I work at the Airport!!
The two runways crossing each other are very prominent and I work on the aircraft at the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal - 2 (the C-shaped structure you see above the runways). You may catch me working on one of the Air-India aircraft and sometimes even on the other airlines which we handle!!

There is an air show in Mumbai on the 17th October and also a static display of some of the latest Indian Air Force aircraft (Sukhoi 30 and MiG 29) along with a couple of Air India jumbos too in the hangar where I work usually on the 14th and 15th of October. The whole place is being done up for the event which is a first time that any such display for the public is made in the airport premises. There will be a display of the various armaments along with the aircraft too. The airshow is at the Marine Drive
promenade in South Mumbai which is also the place where they had it a few years ago as well. The Air India Headquarters building is also nearby. This airshow is to celebrate the centenary of the father of Indian aviation and the founder of Air India JRD Tata who was the first Indian aviator who flew the aircraft (a DH
Puss Moth) from Karachi to Mumbai with some mail and also to celebrate fifty years since the first Air Marshal (Mukherjee) of the IAF was appointed.

Let's see if I can take some good pictures of the airshow and of the displayed aircraft!!! Will post them here if I succeed!!!
