Waterton Lakes

Waterton Lake National Park
The magnificent Waterton Lakes -Glacier International Peace Park straddles the southern boundary of Alberta and Montana. This photo is looking south into Montana.

On the promontory overlooking the lake is the splendid Prince of Wales Hotel.

One of the enduring features of this park is the famous RED BUSES that travel between Waterton and Glacier National Parks over the "Going to the Sun" road through Logan Pass.

These busses were built by the White Motor Company in the 1930s and are still being used. Most of them are currently undergoing major rebuilds.

Read about it here: http://www.glacierparkinc.com/tours.cfm
