sea cat here's the boat I took from my home in Helsinki to Tallin. There are a huge number of boats making the 50km trip. Some fast (like this one) which do the trip in 90mins and some more conventional ferries. There are probably a total of about 40 crossings/day !! |
inside the boat is more like a huge plane. There is a small tax free shop (prices slightly more than estonian supermarket) and a snack bar (take a picnic if you like heathly food - if you like truck stop food then you'll be ok). |
parnu mud baths parnu is home to many spa's which offer great treatments at even greater prices. Some are more for sick people but they have lots of relaxing massages and mud baths for those who just need time to unwind. |

cheap eats parnu has lots of great restaurants. This one was one of the priciest in town, but a full meal for two with wine was still only US$15. Other places are much cheaper and it's a great place to get quality food at bargain prices. |
mall bomber this wasn't quite on our schedule but some drug addict almost blew him and the shopping mall up. We arrived just as the explosion took place and watched the smoke clear and the police arrive to arrest him. |
