by BenFromParis - last update: Feb 12, 2006

One of the best district in Paris for nightlife. Lot of restaurants, cafés, pubs, etc ...

Métro : Bastille
The Bastille district is very famous for all french people. At the place where you see the column on the picture was standing a big jail. During the french revolution, this jail has been destroyed by the people the 14th of july 1789.

Front bastille, take the street "rue de la roquette " and after 3-5 minutes by walk, it will be a street on the right

Fontaines d'Elysabeth :

A very small restaurant (5 or 6 tables)in a place very hard to find. French typical food and cheap. The decoration is like the livingroom of our grand mothers.

I've been to Connolly's Corner, too! My name is Connolly & they gave me a free beer because of it (had to show them my passport to prove it - LOL). :>) The d'Orsay is THE best Impressionist museum in the world followed by the Art Institute in Chicago!
