Horse Tails! This is 'Dolly (SilverDolly 2) and 'Buck (Ziggy's Silver Dollar). They are brother and sister, and 'Silver' (next but one photo) is their half-sister.
'Shep' again.
Shep and Jaymes, with Shep's rosettes and silver platter.
After our old dog 'Blue' died, we had a democratic vote in the house as to which type/breed of dog we should have next. I wanted a Rotweiller or a Doberman, but the others out-voted me into getting a collie! Shep is the only 'farm' dog around these parts that doesn't bark!! He is a house dog and will only bark when someone calls. There's nothing worse than a dog howling all through the night, believe me!
Dolly and Shep
Dolly, aged about 2 months, and Shep aged about 2 years.
This is 'Jake', a Shire cross/Tb. We had him on loan for 6 months and that lasted for 6 years. He was my best friend and confidant! Jake taught ME to ride!! He was a great horse, but had a fear of meeting tractors on the road.
Silver. Full name 'SilverDolly' . She is an Irish Draught/Tb, who's mother died 2 days after the birth. She was hand-reared, but hates to meet other horses!
This is 'Buck', who is a half-brother to 'Silver', above. He's just turned 5 and is about 16.2 hands high. Full name is 'Ziggy's Silver Dollar'. Ziggy is his mother.

Dogs

Dog's Tails. This is 'Shep', a 7-year old Border Collie. We purchased him from the Cats and Dogs Home in Plymouth following the death of our previous dog, 'Blue'. Shep was not the dog we went to see, but he arrived at the home just before we did, having been found in the traffic at a major traffic roundabout just outside Plymouth. We had to wait a week to get him, incase his owner should turn up. He was only about 3 months old! The other Collie (a family pet) was cowering in the corner of his kennel, whereas 'Shep' was climbing all over us. He hated travelling in vehicles, and would be sick and mess everywhere with fear. Now you cannot keep him out of the car! He has won loads of places at local dog shows, including one Champion Dog, when he was still a puppy. Although he is technically a sheepdog, he ignores sheep, but works the horses. Take him to an agricultural show, and he will walk right through the other animals, and just watch the every movement of the horses! He fetches our horses (not that they really need much fetching - he thinks they do (lol)), and nips at their heels, as if they were cattle. The horses have grown up with him, and tollerate him. Sometimes if they've had enough they will put their heads down, like bulls, and charge at him. But he still comes back for more!
