Perry was not a person of many requests...he only had one...that we go and eat at Chairman Mao's Family Restaurant. Keeping in mind that this was in JULY when the heat was not inspiring me to move out of the apartment...let alone out to discover where this restaurant might be... Nevertheless, we did finally manage to rope in Jen, Diane, and Phil to come with us to this "great" restaurant! (One of the "must see's" apparently...according to a friend of Perry's...) After tracking down the location, we finally got into the cab and were on our way...after taking SEVERAL passes back and forth...we finally got out of the cab to look on foot. It was CLOSED. Something about the electricity... |
So we continued to walk up and down the street to find alternative options... We found a homestyle Chinese place... It was HILARIOUS! Just like the good old days when we were students! We even had the caramelized banannas and condensed milk! This is Jen and I... |
