Early morning with a bit of rain, we took some photos on the peak 7186ft. Temperature around 15-20C.
...very cold in the morning, our tent, all wet after heavy rain and lightning

Gunung Tahan 1997

This is my second Tahan trip in 1997, May.
11 of us reaching the peak at 7186 ft, the highest in Peninsular Malaysia.
Korbu halfway

KORBU

Peninsular Malaysia's second highest mountain 7174 ft. Our treking start from Tanjung Rambutan of Perak state. We took on a truck drive into the hills and hike from there. 4 days up and down. Look at this photo, we have 5 plus a local Orang Asli guide, 3 of us halfway "punctured", taking a long rest here.

Gunung Belumut year 2000

This mountain is located in Johor state, about 100km from Yong Peng town. 4000+ ft. Surprisingly clean probably due to less known.

 Actually I do not know what to say about this...I have been to Malaysia 3 times and never experienced any hostile poeple. Maybe I was lucky...plus I never did any bars in KL. I will have to be more observent when I go again. Thanks for sharing!		asiantraveler Wed Apr 2, 2008 00:44 UTC
