Movie Festival - September 2001 Last september, as every year, there was in Lido of Venice the movie festival. I enjoy very much this moment of the year because I like cinema very much and a lot of actors and directors usually come here to promote their movies. After that, a friend of mine works there since a lot of years and so I could pass some time with him waiting for make... paparazzi pics :) |
John Carpenter This director, famous for movies like <i>"Prince of Darkness"</i> and <i>"Escape from L.A."</i>, was in Lido of Venice to promove his last work, <i>"Ghosts of Mars"</i>. |
Haley Joel Osment This boy is very famous. He is born in 1988 and he has just played movies like <i>"The sixth sense"</i> and <i>"Artificial Intelligence: AI"</i>. |

Hotel Excelsior This hotel is the most famous in Lido because is very near to the Palace of the Cinema and so many famous people stay here before to go to show their movies. Every moment of the day you could see a lot of people standing in front of the Hotel waiting to meet their idols... Well, an advice... in the next pics I will show some famous people whom I scanned with my photocamera, but they are only italians or americans. Usually movies from India, Brazil, China and many others coutries less famous won the <i>Leone d'Oro</i> and this is right because there are fantastic movies that we can see only in this Mostra. Btw, I don't know wery well actors from China or India, so my pics are only about US or Italian stars... |
Alberto Sordi Let's start to meet V.I.P.! The first one is one of the most famous italian actors, Alberto Sordi, who is taking a car to return to his hotel... the boy behind him is Stefano, my flat mate, the one who works at the Mostra del Cinema. |
Helen Hunt This actress was in Venice to promote last Woody Allen's movie <i>"The Curse of the Jade Scorpion"</i>. |
Charlize Theron This marvellous actress (I like her very very much) was part of the cast of <i>"The Curse of the Jade Scorpion"</i> too. |
Nicole Voilą the queen of the Mostra. Nicole Kidman was the most attractive woman in Venice, and she conquered all the people (men and women) with her charme... She was in Venice to promove two movies, <i>"The others"</i> and <i>"Birthday girl"</i>. |
Martina Stella Perhaps you don't know her, because she is very young and she played only italian movies (the most important is <i>L'ultimo bacio</i>), but I assure she is very beautiful and good. |
Nanni Moretti This famous (in Italy and in France) director was the president of the jury of the Mostra. He isn't very nice but I think is a very good director. |
Mira Sorvino Also this actress was in Venice to promove her movie, <i>"The Triumph of Love"</i>. |
