"Blarney Castle" Cork Travelogue by globetrott

Cork Travel Guide: 717 reviews and 1,504 photos

Blarney Castle is situated about 10 miles north of Cork.

It is situated in a large park and offers everything, a good tourist-trap would need: a big parking, lots of souvenirshops, a woolen mill, the castle and last but not least: The Blarney Stone.

and this stone is situated on top of this big tower

on the very top of the tower there is a hole in the floor...

and there you may lay on the back, bend back and kiss a stone, you may only reach that way.

There will be someone, holding your feet, and plenty of people are waiting for the chance to kiss the "Stone of Eloquicy"

it is just a pity, the old knights, who put the stone there did not put it in a place, to easyly shoot pics...
