The Waterfalls. Well, this is why you're here, so it figures that this would be the one and only must see activity. In fact, the town of Puerto Iguazu as far as I could tell, was little more than a sleepy little place with one fairly colorful main street, a few stores and some decent hotels. There are two tourist information offices in town, one for the national park and one on the town itself. The latter is the municipal tourist office located at Victoria Aguirre and Brañas (tel. 3757/420-800). It's open daily from 8am to 8pm.
The Iguazu Falls National Park itself will take your breath away. Located around 11 miles (18 kilometers) up the road, you can be there in 20 minutes. These waters are beyond beautiful- they are truly inspirational. For details about visiting the park, check out my Parque Nacional de Iguazu page.
