Hotel has 548 units all with views of either the golf course, pool area, ocean or combination. Hotel and surroundings are beautiful and sits on a hill overlooking the Pacific and the Island of Molokai. In front of the hotel is an ancient Hawaiian burial ground which is off limits. The closest beach is J.T. Fleming which is about a 5 minute walk.
Rooms are expensive but don't have to be if you redeem Marriott points (which is what we did).
Unique Qualities: Has a beautifully landscaped 3 tiered pool.
Numerous tennis courts but in the entire week we were there I never saw anyone playing. Free putting green. Excellent and large gym facility, some free classes are offered. Others are $10 per class.
Free shuttle service around Kapalua including the shopping area and Kapalua Bay (excellent snorkeling).
Restaurants are VERY expensive. At the bar terrace we had one drink each, one burger and a salad for a price of $50! So you can imagine what the normal restaurants charge.
Buffet breakfasts served daily: full breakfast $25 per person, continental $16 per person. Too much money and too much food for me!
