This hotel is listed as one of the Historic Hotels of America. It opened in 1929 and was fully renovated in 1987. It's elegant, yet quaint and you can't beat its Uptown location within walking distance of many attraction, including Discovery Place, the Convention Center, the Levine Museum of the New South and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design.

Unique Qualities: There are 60 rooms, 24 hour room service, in-room refrigerators, voice mail, bathrobes and slippers complimentary shoe shine service and passes to area gyms. The also have a great restaurant on street level called the Monticello.
