This hotel is relatively new. The main hall was built on top of the indoor swimming pool hall. Because the old swimming hall had such unusual architectual qualities, they decided to incorporate it into the new building, because the old indoor swimming pool was a Bauhaus structure. Incidently this is were the former Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist, Michael Gross used to train, but I don't know if they left the plaque there or not. At any rate the pool was filled in, and the hotel reception hall has a lovely view to the Buesing Park. The Hotel is right next to the Rococo Buesing Palace. The Buesing Palace, incidently, was not a noble residence; it was built by a former Industrial magnet for the industry Offenbach is famous for, the Leather Industry.
