We stayed at an older place called the Dominion. It was in downtown Victoria, but very reasonable and ok for a hotel. It had very friendly people working there. THis is a picture of the lobby there.
Our price included a free dinner in the restaurant adjoined to it (which was VERY good), and a free breadfast in their other little restaurant. I think the cost was about $49/night. (Canadian dollars).
Unique Qualities: They have about 12 parking spots. We managed to get one after the first day for an extra $5 / day. There's a parking garage about a block away that you can park in free after 6 until 9 (I think) in the morning.
