Unique Qualities: I stayed at the wonderful Staunton's on the Green which is just south of St. Stephen's Green. I was able to book online via a Irish hotel reservation system. Unfortunatley, I don't remember the website but you can reach them at +353 478 2300. For a room with 2 single beds, cable, and a private bath; it was only about US$70 per night. The price includes a full Irish breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful. The hotel is just a short walk from from the sights and sounds of Grafton St and Temple Bar. If your looking to be close to the action but far enough away not to have to deal with the noise and crowds I would highly recommend Staunton's on the Green.
