Bishop's Palace, Speyer: 2 reviews and 2 photos

Don't miss the palace of the bishops of Speyer : It is just opposite of the cathedral and about halfway to the History Museum.
Watch out for all of the many lovely door handles, door knockers and great wood-works of the entrance-gate and some side-entrances.
Also the balcony looks great with the coat of arms of the bishop.
The bishop of Speyer, beeing in charge of the coronation church and Krypta for plenty of ancient kings, was at all times one of the most powerful bishops in Germany.

On my picture : The main-gate of the palace.

Directions: You will see the bishop's palace, when you leave the cathedral at the main entrance, turn to the left and cross the street !
