"The Martyrdom" Cathedral Tip by kenyneo

Cathedral, Canterbury: 71 reviews and 119 photos

"Her ancient decks were worn and wrinkled, like the pilgrim-worshipped flag-stone in Canterbury Cathedral where Beckett bled." (........Herman Melville - Moby Dick)

the North West Transept used to be very plain and simple in keeping with the normal manner in which the Church of England tended to be decorated but now we have this floodlit "altar" with jagged ironwork hanging over it in the Martyrdom which looks ...quite cool but too some " a little out of place " .
