Lower Castle, Vilnius: 9 reviews and 12 photos

The Lower Castle lies among the Cathedral, the Gediminas hill and the River Neris.
It doesn't look like a castle, just some big buildings (I think rebuilt in recent years, or restored) among which the Old and New Arsenals.
Most of the buildings are now museums:
- Museum of Applied Art
- National Museum of Lithuania
This last one is divided in the Archeology Exposition "Prehistoric Lithuania" in the Old Arsenal, and the "Lithuanian State and Culture History" exposition in the New Arsenal.
There's also an almost hidden small funicular which goes up Gediminas hill and the upper castle, but it's nicer to climb on walk! ;-)

Address: Arsenalo st. 3
Directions: Just behind the Cathedral
