Place de la Concorde; Obélisque de Luxor.
This square is famous for it's 75 meters high granite-obelisk which was cut out in Luxor, Egypt, in the year 1250 B.C. , it came to Paris as a gift from the govener of Egypt, Muhammed Ali, in 1829.
During the revolution this square where the place for executions with the guillotines and both Ludvig XVI and Marie-Antoinette lost their heads here.
Why not take a walk along Champ Elyseés which starts here or you can take a walk down Rue Royale which hosts many
exclusive shops.
