"Mini-Buses" Mini-Buses Tip by LexiB

Mini-Buses, Hurghada: 6 reviews and 2 photos

Before you get into one of the mini-buses, make sure you agree on the fare. It shouldn't be more than 1 Egyptian Pound/person. And even that may be too much. I witnessed the drivers charge less to the locals than to tourists. After that, I was able to talk the drivers to 1 EP for 2 people. But it's really what you're comfortable with. And most important of all, look like a local. When in the bus, don't swing your neck around like you're some alien taking in the sights. Keep quiet & look straight ahead. Also, always try to have exact change. Some unscrupulous drivers will try to short change you if given the chance. It's kind of hard having smaller bills because shop owners really don't like giving it out as well. But try your best.
