"Getting to Mongolia" Mongolia Transportation Tip by andronikkie

Mongolia Transportation: 82 reviews and 121 photos

Travelling to Mongolia was very safe. Mongolian Airways ( MIAT) have brand new airbuses, flying from Moscow airport straight to Ulaan Baatar. The only thing was that maybe sitting arrangements inside the plane were a little bit crammed. Not much leg space.
The airport in Moscow, where you have to wait is very rundown though. You may have to wait there for a few hours. Coffee, water or tea is very expensive and costs 3 Euros each! There is not much to eat either. My husband bought this pack of Twix chocolate bars, and we were in Mongolia and had eaten most of them when we found out they had expired 6 months ago. Luckily nothing happened to us!
