"Bolsa Mexicana de Valores" Mexico City Things to Do Tip by AnnaLupilla

For the construction of the Mexican Stock Exchange building architect Juan Jose Diaz Infante used a building that already existed, but added mire height by means of scaffoldings, which gave it its slanting appearance. Of particular interest is the stock transaction room, an open, circular space covered by an original dome that contrasts sharply with the tower of administrative offices. The unified look of the whole complex was achieved by covering it with dark blue mirrored glass. An adjoining building was constructed later, but its architects made special efforts, to ensure that its design was in visual harmony with the Stock Exchange building. The stock transaction room is the only place in the building with public access.
