Favorite Dish: I'm going to spend a few minutes talking about NOODLES. Yes, noodles is a major food staple here in Asia.... and there are lots of varieties to choose from. Tell me which ones are your favorites after you've read this list O.K.?

Basic types:

Ramen -- wheat; most commonly sold pre-cooked with packets of broth.

Soba -- buckwheat.

Somen -- wheat, served cold.

Udon -- wheat; a square-edged, thick, chewy noodle. This is my personal favorite.

What to Order in Japanese Restaurants?

Yakisoba are Japanese stir-fried noodles.

Tempura Soba is a noodle soup topped with deep fried vegetables and shrimp.

Nabeyaki Udon is udon noodles in stock topped with chicken, seafood, fish and vegetables.

See what you've done to me?

You've made me so hungry that I'm gonna grab some food to eat now.... before I carry on any further.
