Paddy's market at Haymarket: "Unique Jewellery and other bargains in Paddy's" Sydney Shopping Tip by Janemei

Sydney Shopping: 220 reviews and 291 photos

Paddy's Market at Haymarket consists of stalls that sell clothes, shoes, accessories, lingerie, pets, small electronics to fruits and vegies. It is in the heart of Chinatown so most of the vendors are of Asian background. The market is divided into 2 sides, one side being the 'dry' merchandise with clothes etc while the other side sells vegies and fruits.
Some prices are negotiable but I haven't had much success in this area.

What to buy: I love buying jewellery here. There is one stall that sells unique jewellery. I purchased the earrings in the picture for A$25. The same stalls sells hair pins as well using the same jewels.
Also I'd bought a red bag for A$20 at another stall and it has lasted me for almost 2 years now.
Both purchases are so unique.

What to pay: Earrings $10 and above. Hair pins much more.

Address: Paddys market at Haymarket, Sydney
Directions: Everyone knows where Paddy's is. Just ask a local if you don't know how to get to Chinatown. The stalls location shifts around, so hard to pin point the exact jewellery stall.
