  Here Lies Elsie the Cow

Who would have ever thought? Remember, Elsie the Cow. The Borden Milk Cow. I believe a cow image is still on packages of Borden Cheese today.

Elsie lived on a Farm in Plainsboro. On April 16, 1941, she was traveling by truck and was involved in an accident. In the accident, Elsie suffered neck and spine injuries and could not be saved. She was put to sleep and buried on the farm.

Her grave is off of Plainsboro Road in what is now the Walker-Gordon Farms Housing Development. A headstone has been erected in her memory.

Address: Off Plainsboro Road
Directions: Near the Walker-Gordon Housing Development
