  The Esplanade Park
by Zanzibargirl

Bicentennial park is located on Darwin?s Esplanade, has beautifully manicured, shady lawns and great jogging and cycling paths. The park has many bench seats for visitors to sit and enjoy views of Darwin Harbour, have a bite to eat and relax. The park offers a great view in the afternoon where travellers and Darwinians alike come to enjoy the sunset. Many an afternoon I sat and watched the general throng of a few people come to watch one of those famous red sunsets over the water and contemplated my days. It is a great spot to think and just sit back and relax. It also has a few swings for kids and to a friend of mine a meeting spot of a few special times that will be remembered with sweet thoughts.
