"Biltmore Estate" Biltmore Estate Tip by kp1980

Biltmore Estate, Asheville: 77 reviews and 216 photos

While in Asheville I visited the Biltmore Estate. It was quite impressive and quite vast. It is also however quite pricey and crowded. Be advised that the basic tour was $40, anything above that was extra. The basic tour includes a tour of part of the house, the winery, and you can walk around the gardens, grounds, and barn.

I would highly recommend buying your ticket online if you plan on going here. The line of traffic waiting to get to the parking lot of the vistors center (where you buy tickets) was long, not to mention the lines inside the building. With your online tickets you can skip that whole mess and go directly to the ticket gate.

If their are a lot of visitors you will need to get a timed admission to the house. Be sure to pick this up prior to when you wish to enter the house as you may be in for a surprise if you wait.

Very beautiful views and a quite impressive house (especially some of the rooms in the basement).
