  Preseren Trg
by blint

Named after Slovenia's favourite poet, France Preseren (1800-1849) this little square is a really lovely part of the city. With the large pink Franciscan church, the statue of Preseren and the beginning of the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje) into the old town you really feel you are at the heart of the city. Every direction from there leads to someplace interesting.

If you have read Paulo Coelho?s book 'Veronica decides to die' this is the square that Veronica looked upon from her window in the convent.

Address: Slovene capital, Slovenia
Directions: Just before you cross river on the Triple bridge into the old town.
