Johnny Rocket's: "NMA-50s style diner" Top 5 Page for this destination Johnny Rocket's Tip by Dabs

Johnny Rocket's, Chicago: 2 reviews and 1 photos

We popped in here late on a Tuesday night when it wasn't very busy so we were able to get a seat right away. Other reviews I've seen said there was singing or dancing, maybe they didn't have it when we were there because it was an off time.

Service was friendly and prompt.

The restaurant is designed to look like a 1950s diner.

Favorite Dish: The food was OK but not great. I tried a bacon cheddar burger which came with lettuce and raw onion. It tasted OK but wasn't nearly as good as the burgers at Boston Blackie's and it was expensive for the portion size. Fries are not included with the burgers so we ordered some onion rings which came with a side of ranch dressing. They were good but the portion size was small for the price.

I also ordered a chocolate milkshake, it had a good flavor and came with whipped cream.

The whole meal came to $21 for the two of us-one order of onion rings, 2 sandwiches (over $5 each) and 1 milkshake, way overpriced for that kind of food.
